Diwali is a beautiful festival of lights celebrated by Hindus all over the world. We spent immense amount of time cleaning and decorating our homes.
The house is lit with diyas or tealight candles. On this beautiful occassion it is custom to start a new project or get blessings for something new.
My new item are my Incense Holders. We burn incense at home and I have created these burners so the smoke escapes through the holes in soft dancing patterns. They also collect all the ash in the box without creating a mess. Check out this video of the burner.

Hi Charan,
Lovely work -
I have often wondered about making incense burners and the Algonquians to whom we are teaching pottery would like to make smudge pots. (To burn braided fragrant grasses.) However I am concerned that the hot sticks or grass would make the clay crack. If the clay is unvitrified it might not be so much of a problem perhaps. I presume that you have not had any prblems.
